Calabar, Cross-River StateJournal Article20200409The study presents a retrospective report of cases of DAMA and the emerging roles of Medical Social Workers in Nigeria using a teaching hospital as a case. <br /> Retrospective report of 553 DAMA cases were retrieved from social case-note of Medical Social Workers between a period of five years (June, 2015 to December, 2019) at University College Hospital, Ibadan<br /> Reasons for DAMA were mostly because of financial constraints. Medical Social Worker’s intervention were hovering around education and facilitating legal procedure to DAMA to prevent litigation to the hospital. There was an association between socio-demographic characteristics and rates of DAMA (p<0.05), diagnosis of patient was also significantly associated with rate of DAMA in the hospital(p<0.05) and there was an association between gender and social work interventions to cases of DAMA at the University College Hospital(p<0.05). <br /> The study concluded that high rate of DAMA in Nigerian hospital is as a result of differences in socioeconomic characteristics of patients and severity of their diagnosis. It helps decision makers to identify the important factors affecting the intention of faculty members to use e-learning in the light of the Theory of Planned Behavior. A sample of 131 faculty members representing faculties of social work in Egypt (59) and in Saudi Arabia (72) was selected to respond to a questionnaire. The results showed that the intention of faculty members to use e-learning in social work education is high. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the study variables due to gender or workplace, but there are statistically significant differences in variables related to previous experience in the use of e-learning. The study sample consisted of 213 male and female secondary schoolstudents aged 15-18 years. A scale of domestic violence and electronic bullying was designed. The study’s results indicated a statistically significant correlation between levels of domestic violence affecting adolescents; verbal, emotional and physical violence, and the average degrees of their involvement in electronic bullying. The results showed that male adolescents who were more affected bydomestic violence were more likely to be involved in electronic bullying than female adolescents. Such skills include using computers, using web technologies, using educational devices, and developing technical knowledge. The study also explored the obstacles hindering students from benefiting from electronic learning. The study targeted a random sample of 110 female students in their final year at the Department of Sociology and Social Work in the Faculty of Arts, Al-Imam Abdel Rahman Ben Faisal University. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher applied an analytical descriptive approach. The study found that electronic and virtual learning is playing a large role in developing student skills. Obstacles to e-learning among students were found to include a lack of an adequate number of computers at the Faculty, reduced human contact between students and teachers, and difficulty applying appropriate evaluation methods. It has been studied extensively since Albert Pandora introduced the term in 1986. He referred to self-efficacy as one of the basic components in the human personality as well as a major builder in the performance of the human behavior. <br /> This study aims to determining the degree of self-efficacy of social workers at the schools of special education. and determining the degree of efficacy and perseverance, self-confidence, initiation, and knowledge access of social workers at these schools. The study is applied on 35 social workers at 16 different schools of special education in Qalyubia Governorate. The results show that based-statistical differences do exist between the degrees average of male and female social workers at special education schools for the disabled on the scale of self-efficacy regarding efficacy, perseverance, self-confidence, and initiation. The total results are in favor of the male social workers. This study is categorized as a descriptive one. The two researchers used both types of the social survey method, the comprehensive social survey of the officials working in the juvenile delinquents institutes whose number is (25) persons, comprehensive social survey of the juvenile delinquents whose number is (75) persons. The two researchers conducted a questionnaire to the officials and a questionnaire form to the juvenile delinquents .The study concluded that the general average of the social organizations mechanisms for the care of juvenile delinquents to achieve their social protection as determined by officials is (2.55) which is a high rate. Also, the level of the social organizer’s role in achieving social protection for juvenile delinquents as determined by juvenile delinquents is (2.38) and this is a high rate.
