Abstract

The study aims to test the effectiveness of Task-Centered Model in developing independent living skills for Foundlings Adolescents groups, by focusing on four basic cognitive skills for independent living, including the skill of determine goals, the skill of making decisions, the skill of managing social relationships, and the skill of negotiation. This is done by relying on the experimental method, as the single-group design with pre- and post-test was relied upon. The size of the experimental group was (11) members. To prove the validity of the study hypotheses, a professional intervention program based on the methods of the task- Centered model was practiced, Changes in the experimental group were tracked through pre- and post-measurement with the independent living skills scale, The results of the study reached the effectiveness of the Task-Centered Model in developing independent living skills for Foundlings Adolescents groups.
