Abstract
This study aims to identify the intention of the faculty members to use e-learning in social work education in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. It helps decision makers to identify the important factors affecting the intention of faculty members to use e-learning in the light of the Theory of Planned Behavior. A sample of 131 faculty members representing faculties of social work in Egypt (59) and in Saudi Arabia (72) was selected to respond to a questionnaire. The results showed that the intention of faculty members to use e-learning in social work education is high. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the study variables due to gender or workplace, but there are statistically significant differences in variables related to previous experience in the use of e-learning. Finally, the results indicated that the “Subjective Norms” is the most effective variable in forming the behavioral intention.
